My all time pet peeve is ambiguous public bathroom signs hands down. A few beers in at a restaurant bar an Indiana Jones hunt for the bathroom ends up with one final task. No it's not picking the Holy Grail it's picking the right bathroom door. Come on designers this is not the place to express your creativity or wit, leave it to the actual designs not these signs. We've all been stumped for a quick minute trying to guess the meaning of these pointless brain teasers that always correlates to the restaurant/bar theme. Still not sure step aside and wait for someone to make the "public falling down the stairs" like chance for you.
How do you feel about the ones at Phillips HQ? The womens room is denoted by an image of the back of a female crab, and the mens room by an image of the back of a male crab. To be fair there are also signs saying WOMEN and MEN, but i think it is cute.
